The Art of Education University (AOEU) is seeking a highly-skilled Marketing Coordinator to bring people, data, and ideas together to drive attendance, engagement, lead generation, and results for our bi-annual virtual NOW Conference and other events. The Marketing Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Marketing and Customer Experience and will work closely with other internal teams to manage projects, create messaging, and execute activities to create impactful event experiences for attendees. The Marketing Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for event marketing; bringing best practices to each event, and carrying learnings forward to the next.

The Details | Digital Marketing Manager | 

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate marketing campaigns and activities in support of the NOW Conference.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for all aspects of NOW Conference marketing and sponsorship.
  • Maintain a culture of collaboration. Break down silos and build relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and customers to support impactful conferences, events, webinars, and marketing. 
  • Execute event promotion across all appropriate channels including paid search, SEO, display, paid social, and webinars.
  • ​Write event messaging and other communications. 
  • Work closely with graphic design on creative execution necessary to support marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Participate in review and planning sessions with marketing managers and other internal stakeholders which will inform event marketing strategies.
  • Streamline event processes and operations to improve any inefficiencies; make recommendations as needed.
  • Continuous research on industry trends, what’s new, what’s next and all things Art Ed!
  • Coordinate and build ongoing weekly and monthly marketing emails.
  • Coordinate AOEU presence at national, state, local and industry events.
  • Provide additional bench strength to the marketing team by coordinating additional marketing campaigns and initiatives as needed. 

Analytics and Reporting

  • Track and analyze the performance and funnel metrics related to all efforts to continually optimize the performance of our campaigns.
  • Provide recommendations to the content team for articles and podcasts that improve SEO and SEM ranking for the NOW Conference.
  • Optimize SEO, SEM, and social advertising for NOW and other events and webinars.

Enablement

  • Develop testimonials, identify customer stories,  and report customer success data for team members to leverage and drive compelling conversations.
  • Develop supplemental materials such as sales sequences, one-pagers, and presentations to enable sales, school success, and admissions teams.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations for messaging, objection handling, and outreach execution.

Work Environment

The duties of this position are typical of those performed in a home office setting with normal ranges of temperature.  The majority of tasks will be performed while sitting at a desk.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Position requires considerable concentration and focus throughout the day.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift items such as laptops, monitors, and the like.
  • When traveling: 
    • The ability to lift or push your suitcase.
    • Ability to carry/lift up to 25-50 lbs of presentation materials for customers or for conference presentations, etc.

VISUAL & TACTILE REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to view computer screens for significant periods of time.  The Art of Education University is an online university.  Therefore 95-98% of one’s time will be on or using technology.
  • Ability to use a laptop keyboard with accuracy.
  • Ability to hear at normal levels and through electronic devices such as laptops, earbuds, phones, and the like.

Position Requirements

EDUCATION

  •  Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is preferred

EXPERIENCE

  • One year of experience in a similar position(s) coordinating marketing for virtual events or webinars or two years of experience in marketing, trade shows, advertising, public relations or communications
  • Experience working in a remote capacity is strongly preferred
  • Passion for organization, scheduling, and internal communication
  • Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Writes copy and crafts messaging for target audience
  • Builds emails and campaigns with sophisticated automation
  • Familiarity with A/B and multivariate testing methodologies
  • Familiarity with web analytics and conversion optimization tools
  • Comfortable with front-end web development (CSS, HTML, PHP)

Compensation and Benefits

POSITION DETAILS

Structured as a full-time, exempt, and salaried position, this individual will report directly to Deb DuBois, Director of Marketing and Customer Experience.  

Compensation is commensurate with education and experience.  Payroll is issued on a monthly basis paid on the 15th of the month.

Group healthcare plans are available.  The Art of Education University will contribute 100% for full-time health, dental, and vision, employee-only coverage, and 70% towards family health, dental, and vision family coverage.

The Art of Education University offers participation, upon hire, of a 401K plan with up to a 4% match of employee contributions.

Appropriate and up-to-date technology is provided.

Unlimited self-managed PTO is offered to full-time members of AOEU.  Extended vacations must be pre-approved.  Flexibility exists so long as responsibilities are fulfilled and careful planning and communication are evident.

THE PROCESS

Candidates who make it to Round 2 of the Application process will be required to complete a packet for review, prior to their scheduled interview time.  

Finalists will have one final culture interview with the President of the University.
