We are seeking an experienced marketing manager who can run the front-of-the-house and the behind-the-scenes direct-to-consumer marketing initiatives.

Specifically, this person:

Loves all things digital marketing – email, social media, PPC, display, you name it – and has the track record to prove it.

Is a strategic thinker. We want you to develop and drive our digital marketing strategy for the acquisition of new customers and retention of existing ones. You will be the in-house expert.

Can write, and write well. You will craft whiskey club emails, social posts, blog posts, and more. These communications need to be clear and on-brand.

Is outgoing and communicates well. You will be responding to press inquiries as well as creating new, and managing existing, corporate relationships with key hotels, casinos, transportation companies, influencers, etc.

Loves to host. You will be face-to-face (COVID-permitting) with consumers as you lead special events at the distillery.

Has a team-player work ethic. Our team is small and we all wear many hats and help each other out. Maintaining this culture is important to us.

Primary Responsibilities:
Social, Email, and Digital Marketing
Drive online marketing strategy for all acquisition and retention efforts
Run all online acquisition campaigns including social media, PPC, and display ads
Run all loyalty/retention campaigns including email newsletters and blog posts
Plan and help administer virtual events such as tastings, interviews, etc.
Act as the point person for press and partnership inquiries
Whiskey Club Administration
Drive sales and loyalty via regular email communications and special offers
Provide data entry into Club CRM, provide quarterly reports on club financials
Assist in planning, implementing, and attending quarterly whiskey club pick up events
Business Development
Develop new local business partnerships with key hotels, casinos, concierge teams, transportation companies, etc. to drive consumer and corporate tasting room traffic
Seek online business partnership opportunities with other relevant businesses, influencers, podcast hosts, etc. to drive brand awareness
Attend industry and tourism networking events to create awareness of distillery offerings
Assist in developing unique distillery offerings as a point of differentiation for the brand (whiskey & food pairings, whiskey flight tastings, specialized tours, classes, etc.)
Event Marketing
Plan and execute private, corporate, and community events to generate exposure and revenue
Coordinate with photographers to capture special events and build a portfolio for future campaigns

Required Experience:
Highly organized, independent worker with effective problem-solving skills
Team-oriented attitude
Good sense of humor; takes the job seriously, but not themselves
3-5 years of DTC Sales and Marketing or hospitality experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google, and various cloud-based tools
Able to learn and apply the company’s POS system
Able to learn and apply the company’s tour reservation software system
Working knowledge and/or strong interest in mixology, cocktail-making, and craft spirit industry
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong understanding of Social Media and Digital Marketing
Experience in copywriting with examples of prior work experience

Preferred Experience:
Inventory, POS, Commerce7, Squarespace WineDirect, Club Management, and Tour Booking Systems
Experience using Mailchimp
Experience using Google Ads
